Pictured above is the tauregg… This taurian creature, created by myself, first made its debut in Balance of Fate: The Legorian Kings Saga. Well, I am excited to announce that this truly terrifying amalgamation, with the upper torso of a four-armed gorilla and the lower body of an adult male lion, is now set to make its triumphant return in my forthcoming, sci-fi/space western, Arbiter: Judge Jury Executioner.
Here’s an EXCERPT from the aforementioned gamebook…
Located in the Dantari Quadrant of the Barronix System, Atraeus 9 is the product of successful terraforming. Its extreme lack of viable, natural resources, however, quickly relegated it to becoming nothing more than the site for a large, industrial waste processing plant ― an operation that was eventually shut down entirely.
With the Harbinger’s cloaking device enabled, you have Andromeda bring the ship down to the planet’s surface and land it on the other side of a rocky ridge a half mile south of the processing plant. A harsh, alien landscape of rock and low-growing vegetation greets you when you exit the ship.
No sooner have your feet touched the ground than Andromeda’s voice abruptly crackles forth from your wrist-comm. “My sensors are detecting what appears to be a large lifeform rapidly approaching our position from the northeast.”
What you see through your tactical rangefinder binoculars fills you with absolute fear and dread, for bounding towards you is a fearsome monstrosity that could have easily stepped right out of your worst nightmare. Its head and torso are those of a massive gorilla, but with four powerful arms instead of two, while from the waist down, its body is that of a large, adult male lion. You immediately recognize it as a tauregg.
“According to my database, this lifeform should not be here! Taureggs are not indigenous to this world or any other planet within this system,” Andromeda declares matter-of-factly.
