Introduction
It became known as the Event… a cataclysm of unparalleled devastation never before seen by the world as we know it. It was on that fateful day that the sky quite literally fell, as a global onslaught of meteors rained down upon the most densely populated areas of the world. In less than 24 hours, the earth was laid waste ― its cities razed to the ground and reduced to rubble, and its population decimated. Those that survived fled from the cities, some seeking refuge in the mountains and others going underground.
Notwithstanding their geo-specific targets, it was soon apparent that this had been no ordinary meteor shower. What followed could only be classified as an invasion, for the meteors brought not only destruction when they made impact, but with them came the spores, and from the spores came the living dead.
The spores, however, did not just resurrect the deceased, but also dramatically altered some of them ― changing both men and beasts into horrific, mutated monstrosities called Revenants, and like the rest of the undead, they, too, had an insatiable hunger for the flesh of the living.
It would also be discovered that the spores had affected some of the survivors as well, endowing a very small few with macro psychokinetic abilities. YOU are one of those special people!
